KARACHI: Bahria Club beat Usman Club 48-46 in the final to win the title of 4th Kashmir Cup Junior Basketball tournament organised by Karachi Basketball Club in collaboration with Usman Club at Abdul Nasir Basketball Court here at Arambagh on Friday night.

Aun Khan of the winners’ side was on the rampage in the courts and scored as many as 19 points in this thrilling contest, He was well assisted by Hammad Khan 12 points and Zunair 10 points.

For the runners-up, Humayun Aslam scored 17 points while Hassan Iqbal and Faizan Yousuf scored 13 and 12 points respectively.

PTF vice-president Khalid Jameel Shamsi was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony and gave away trophies and individual prizes to players.

Aun Khan was declared Man of the Tournament while Hammad Khan was named Rookie of the event.

KBBA President Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Abdul Nasir, Saleem Khasani, Yoga Federation’s Muhammad Arshad and former basketballer Muhammad Hanif were also present on the occasion.

Shamsi announced that soon a basketball academy will be established in the city under the aegis of Shamsi Sports Academy where players will be imparted basketball skills along with education.

On the occasion Usman Club Patron Muhammad Haider Khan announced to award kits and shirts among the Usman Club players.

Special awards were given to Daniyal Khan, Kashan, Muhammad Usman, Yesh Kumar, Mubin , Humayun Aslam, Mohsin Gujjar, and Hassan Ali.
