QUETTA: The students and employees of the Bolan Medical University continued their protest in front of the Balochistan Assembly on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the protesters who had been arrested the other day were released on the orders of Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove.

“All arrested students and employees of the university were released late on Wednesday night,” official sources said.

However, the students and university’s employees again gathered in front of the assembly building carrying placards and banners inscribed with their demands. They chanted slogans against the vice chancellor of the university.

“The government has failed to resolve our issues or it has no interest in resolving them,” the protesters said. They warned that they would stage a protest with greater intensity if their demands were not met.

“Until the university is restored to its previous position, our protest will continue,” they said.
