PESHAWAR: City traffic police held a special workshop for Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) drivers here on Thursday.

A statement issued here said that DSP education and awareness Shazia Shahid along with her team held the workshop at the BRT office located in Chamkani. A large number of drivers attended the workshop.

It said the traffic police instructors educated the BRT drivers about traffic safety and rules.

They were briefed about safely picking and dropping passengers at the BRT stations. The drivers were also sensitised about precautionary measures and road safety.

At the end of workshop, all the participant were briefed about different traffic signals and signs.

It was decided that traffic police will cooperate with the BRT administration to ensure that people enjoy a safe journey.

Assistant Manager BRT Obaid Afridi on the occasion thanked the city traffic police for their cooperation.
