People who have no connection or experience with flying training and or combat jet aircrafts must refrain from frivolous ignorant comments. It is not unusual for military aircrafts to have mechanical troubles in normal routine. PAF is not the only Air Force that has experienced crashes during routine training missions, every country's Air Force has one time or another faced such challenges. Investigation will reveal whether it is poor maintenance or over confidence of pilots or just simply mechanical failure. Crashes have nothing to do with whether the aircraft is Chinese made or US, or French made.

@H Arif, Umm, the frontline aircraft like F16/B52 (US made) costs about 60 mil, JF17 (chinese/PAC) costs about 20 mil and trainers like FT7 (which is the trainer version of J7, which is the chinese version of Mig21) costs anywhere between 5-12 mil depending on how old it is and its avionics fit. A MirageIII (french made) cost including the ROSE update in today's money will be somewhere between 30-40 mil again dependent on age of airframe and other maintenance factors. Also remember each pilot training costs a minimum of 40-50 lakh PKR. Add to that the family pension in case of life lost or disability pension in case of disability discharge. So each pilot life lost or disabled costs a lot of money. Now if the crash happens to destroy life or property on ground, those citizens are also compensated. So your point is vert relevant, that these are expensive talent(pilots) and machines (planes). These crashes are too frequent for comfort.

why so many plane are crashing? Bad maintenance or money going into the pockets. Need a judicial investigation.

Even for commercial aircrafts MRO (Maintenance repairs and overhaul) needs to be done periodically with the stringent criteria. The problem with IAF is especially for older MiG planes, previous governments sourced spares from countries which were part of erstwhile Soviet Union. But that was not the case for Mirage 2000. In Pakistan, Mirage III is still used, which is very much outdated. Another challenge for PAF is spares for their main stay F-16s, for which spares are not available easily. Improperly sourced spares, improper MRO coupled with inadequate training leads to such crashes.

No communication From the pilots on fault observed , no data from flight recorders so far..if it is a structural failure then silence from pilots is understandable in most cases .. However engine failures at high altitudes gives the pilot plenty of time to report back to ATC the type of emergency and why bail out is a must
