KOHAT: Police arrested on Tuesday a man suspected of killing two persons, including a court employee, and of looting money from a public call office a few days ago in the Kohat city.

DSP city Bashir Dada Khan told a press conference that Suleman Shah, a resident of Mohallah Shinwari of Jungle Khel, had killed civil court naib qasid Maqsood Ahmed and deprived him of money in Kalo Khan Banda area. He had fled the scene on a motorcycle. He said the criminal had also shot dead a trader while trying to loot his shop in Jungle Khel.

DSP Bashir said the outlaw also took away Rs40,000, and the mobile phones of the owner and a customer at gunpoint from a public call office in Garhi Mawaz Khan.

He said DPO Mansoor Aman had constituted a team headed by SP operations Tahir Iqbal to arrest the outlaw. He said the man had also been jailed several times in the past in drug cases and several FIRs had been registered against him.

He said the investigators reached the culprit through CCTV footages, and recovered the looted money and a motorcycle.
