KARACHI: The SST Public School and Cadet College Rashidabad edged past Usman Club 36-34 in a thrilling final to win the title of SSB Cup Inter-Collegiate, Inter University and Inter-District Basketball tournament, organised by Firdaus Ittehad Social Welfare Organisation in collaboration with Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam at the SAU Sports Ground.

The winners team Shaheer Muhammad was unstoppable in the court and scored 13 points to help his team win the grand finale. He was well assisted by Hussain Khoso and Muhammad Ahmed who scored 8 points each.

For the runners up, Shariq Suleman scored 13 points while Zainul Abedeen and Faizan Yousuf scored 8 points each. KBBA president Ghulam Muhammad who was the chief guest in the concluding ceremony and gave away trophies and prizes to players.

Uzair Hussain Khoso of SST public School, and Shariq Suleman of Usman Club were named joint Man of the Tournament.

SAU Director Sports Anwar Khanzada and SAU Vice Chancellor Dr Mujeebur Rehma Sehrai were also present. Speaking on the occasion, Ghulam Muhammad paid tributes to sports department for SAU for organizing the event in a befitting manner and hoped that such events will continue to be organized for the promotion of the game in educational institutes of the interior Sindh.
