KARACHI: Sanjeep Lama, the renowned Nepali fencing coach arrived in Karach on Monday for a month long coaching assignment during which he will be imparting training to the fencing players in the country.

KCSA and Karachi Fencing Association are jointly hosting Sanjeep’s visit for this first ever coaching assignment. It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan’s fencing team won a bronze medal in Nepal’s South Asian Games held November while hosts Nepal team won a gold at the competition.

Sanjeep’s coaching stints will be held in two phases. In the first phase youngsters will be given a chance to prove their mettle out of which some will be selected for advanced training. The coaching sessions will be held at National Coaching Center and many boys and girls from local schools will undertake initial training.

A formal opening ceremony for the fencing training will be held at KMC Sports Complex on Tuesday (today) at 12:00pm.
