LAHORE: The Raiwind police claimed on Sunday to have arrested a proclaimed offender 12 years after he opened fire on police.

Nafees and Ramzan were involved in opening fire on a police party during patrolling in 2008 and a case under 7 of Anti-Terrorism Act was registered against them in the Township police station.

Ramzan was arrested but Nafees made good his escape after the attack and was declared proclaimed offender. They were also involved in robbery cases.

A team of the Raiwind police raided a house and arrested Nafees. Capital City Police Officer Zulfiqar Hameed appreciated the police team and announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for them.
