MARDAN: Police here on Friday arrested a militant carrying head money of Rs4 million.

District police officer Sajjad Khan told mediapersons that the militant, Mohammad Rafique, had been wanted to the police in eight cases of terrorism.

“He was wanted to the police stations of Mardan city, Shergarh and Takhbhai,” he said. The DPO said that a police team, under DSP Bashir Yousafzai, arrested Mohammad Rafique alias Mufti of Iram Colony from Rashakai area. He said that Rafique was involved in bomb attacks on government installations, schools, CD shops and police vans.
