School charges

Published January 16, 2020

THE Sindh government’s education department had sent the private schools’ management a Circular No.DIR/POS/R-I/EDUGOS/(44)/(10580)/2009 dated Sept16, 2009 instructing them not to charge any other fee under any other head unless approved.

Unfortunately many private schools are violating these directives and levying annual charges. That is not all: some of the schools van drivers are demanding advance fee for the months of June and July 2020 along with the charges for the months January and February. This extortion needs to be discouraged by the concerned departments.

The education department and respective school managements need to look into the issue and take necessary action.
