CHITRAL: Hundreds of candidates missed the test and interview for different jobs in Rescue 1122 scheduled for Tuesday in Peshawar due to the closure of the Lowari Pass road on account of snowfall.

The candidates have demanded of the government to announce a fresh date for test and interviews in Chitral to save them from travelling to the down country during the winter season.

The candidates told mediapersons at the Chitral Press Club that the provincial government should conduct the tests and interviews for the jobs in government departments in Chitral as they could not afford the expenses incurred on travel to Peshawar.

They said it was unjust to call hundreds of candidates to Peshawar instead of sending a few officials to Chitral.

They pointed out that majority of the youth possessing the requisite qualification did not apply for different posts in the government departments simply due to their financial incapacity to travel to the down country.
