LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid distributed Sehat Insaf Cards among the citizens belonging to the Gujranwala division.

Special adviser to CM on Health Dr Zafar Mirza and other renowned personalities were present on this occasion.

Dr Yasmin said improvement in the health sector was among the top priorities of Prime Minister Imran Khan as education and health sectors directly affected the people.

She said the Sehat Insaf Cards initiative was an important step towards the fulfillment of the promises made by the PTI chief.

The minister said the Sehat Insaf Cards would soon be distributed in other remaining districts and the families getting them would be able to access medical facilities up to Rs720,000. She said the cards were being given away to approximately 300,000 families of Gujranwala division.

Ms Yasmin said that modern healthcare facilities are being provided to the low-income segments of society, adding that 26,000 jobs would be provided on a hundred per cent merit in the health department. She said advertisement of more 9,000 jobs was being given.

The minister said that on the instructions of chief minister, Sehat Insaf Cards would be provided to 30,000 Thalassemia patients. She said nine new hospitals were being set up for providing modern healthcare facilities to patients while five new hospitals were being set up in the backward areas.
