RAWALPINDI: A group of 30 Pakistani illegal immigrants deported by Turkish authorities arrived at Islamabad International Airport on Wednesday.

Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) immigration official said that the Pakistanis who arrived via Turkish Airlines on Wednesday were taken into custody and later shifted to the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell for further investigation.

Eight deportees are from Gujrat, five from Peshawar and 17 others from Gujranwala, he added.

He said the number of Pakistanis deported by Turkish authorities during the last six days had reached 289 adding that earlier on Tuesday, 40 Pakistanis deported by Turkish authorities arrived at the airport.
