QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has said that special persons despite being physically handicapped possess unique talent and the government is taking steps to use their talent for development of the country.

Speaking at a function organised by the Hope Special Education Centre (HSEC) here on Friday, he said the center had demonstrated that special children’s education and mental development could make them proud citizens of the country. “If they continue to work with the same spirit and passion, these special children will help the country achieve progress and prosperity,” the governor said.

Mr Yasinzai made it clear that no society could achieve development and prosperity unless every member of society played its role positively.

He expressed the hope that HSEC would continue to provide these special children with opportunities to demonstrate their unique and wonderful talent.

Earlier, special children performed a tableau and sang Kashmiri songs and presented regional dances.

Vice Chancellor of Balochistan University Dr Anwar Panezai, Maj General Inam Haider, Maj General Manzoor Ahmed and other officials attended the function.
