THE WEEK THAT WAS

Mehboob Apke Qadmon Mein | Hum TV, Fridays 9.10pm

A desperate but determined Shazia (Sukayna Khan) steps up her black magic endeavours to stop her devar Arsim’s (Saad Qureshi) wedding, even as his nikah date gets finalised with his girlfriend Sunaina (Zubab Rana). Arsim’s sister Sonia doesn’t know yet what her bhaabi Shazia is up to but she is convinced that Shazia originally wanted to get married to Arsim and not his elder brother Sarim (Agha Mustafa), and hence her strange behaviour.

Sparked by Shazia’s evil spells, Sunaina’s little candle-on-the-cake celebration with Arsim ends in a fire accident, leaving the couple and the audiences agog at the ferocity of the evil powers at work.

What To Watch Out For

Meray Paas Tum Ho | ARY, Saturdays 8.00pm

Seems as though Mehwish (Ayeza Khan) and Shehwar’s (Adnan Siddiqui) honeymoon is over before they have even wed each other. Just as we thought Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s bold and beautiful story was running out of steam, it takes an unpredicted turn with the arrival of Shehwar’s wife Maham (Savera Nadeem), minutes before Mehwish and Shehwar’s nikah ceremony is about begin.

Resplendant in bridal finery, Mehwish is ready to leave her bedroom when a furious Maham appears and introduces herself with a slap across Mehwish’s stunned face. Ayeza Khan nailed her expression and MPTH audiences can’t wait for fireworks in the next episode.
