BATKHELA: Awami National Party senior vice-president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has alleged that the government is plotting to ‘install’ its own chief election commissioner to save its skin in the foreign funding case, and demanded appointment of the new CEC and other members from Sindh and Balochistan purely on merit.

This he said while talking to mediapersons after offering Fateha on the death of sister-in-law of former MPA Shoeb Khan at his residence here.

Mr Hoti said that the foreign funding case in the election commission would expose the real face of the PTI leadership.

He stated that the country was going through economic crisis and that the IMF policies were adversely affecting the layman.

Mr Hoti declared the government incompetent and insisted that it was imposed on the people of Pakistan. He claimed that the people had become fed up with the government in one year as it had miserably failed to fulfill the promises made with the voters.

The ANP leader alleged that the present rulers were unable to overcome economic crisis, rather the ‘incompetent’ team led by Imran Khan had brought the country on verge of economic disaster. He said that the government had no justification to cling to power anymore.
