RAWALPINDI: A toddler was killed and his parents were injured in a traffic accident on Murree Road on Saturday night.

Police said Badsha Khan, a resident of Lahore, was coming to Rawalpindi along with his wife and the two-year-old son after visiting Bari Imam Shrine when he lost control over the car while avoiding a motorcyclist near Shamsabad.

Police official Mohammad Iqbal said the car veered off the road and hit another car on the opposite track and then overturned.

The injured boy was shifted to the Holy Family Hospital where he died. The parents suffered minor injuries.

The official said Mr Khan was driving a rented vehicle.
