LAHORE: The 36th edition of the National Junior Hockey Championship will be held here at the National Hockey Stadium from Nov 28 to Dec 8.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has appointed Anjum Saeed as the tournament director and Hassan Akhtar and Shafique Bhatti as assistant tournament directors for the championship. Rashad Mahmood will act as the umpires’ manager.

Three assistant managers — Syed Zulifqar Haider Shah, Rana Mohammad Khalid and Mohammad Asghar -- have also been named.

The PHF will also organise a coaching and technical officials clinic from Dec 5 to 8 in Lahore.

Meanwhile, as a part of the PHF Development Plan to groom coaches and technical officials, a series of clinics are being organised on regular basis.

In this regard a course for national coaches will be held at Lahore, in conjunction with 36th National Junior Hockey Championship, to be conducted by Pakistan head coach Khawaja Junaid.

Coaches invited for the course: Ajmal Khan Lodhi, Rana Zaheer Ahmed Babar, Waseem Ahmed, Kamran Ashraf, Mohammad Khalid, Mudassar Ali Khan, Zeeshan Ashraf, Mohammad Imran, Syed Sameer Hussain, Khawar Javaid, Waqas Sharif, Mohammad Usman, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Naeem, Asim Khan, Mohammad Sarwar, Rehan Butt, Mohammad Saqlain, Qamar Ibrahim, Zahid Afzal, Nasir Ahmed, Asif Ahmed Khan.
