No clue to missing lawyer in Haripur

HARIPUR: The police have failed to trace a lawyer, who went missing here on Sunday under mysterious circumstances.

According to Aqeel Ahmad Awan, a resident of Mohallah Chowki police, his younger brother, Jameel Ahmad Awan, a high court lawyer, left home for a local market at around 4pm on Sunday but didn’t return, while his mobile phone was switched off.

He said his family didn’t have enmity with anyone. The city police began investigation but failed to find any clue of the missing lawyer.

HELD: The police have arrested a man for entering the women’s ward of the Haripur Trauma Centre wearing burqa.

The city police said a man in his 30s and clad in burqa entered the staff room of the trauma centre on Wednesday night and visited all wards before entering the women’s ward when some staff members spotted him barefoot and informed the police about him.

The police captured the man and shifted him to the police station, where he was identified as Naveed Ahmad, a factory worker from Kotnajibullah area.
