LAHORE: The Lahore Arts Centre staged the play, Rang Laye Ga Lahu, for the second and last day on Tuesday in solidarity with the people of Kashmir facing brutal Indian aggression.

The two-day play roped in a good number of people at Alhamra. It was written by Aziz Qazi and directed by Ishfaq Chaudhry. The production was about the ongoing freedom movement of a Kashmiri family, and highlighted the brutality with which the Indian Army was killing women, children and men in India-held Kashmir.

Lahore Arts Council Executive Director Ather Ali Khan said that the fight of the Kashmiri people for independence was over six decades old and they had suffered a lot by all means. The entire Pakistani nation stood with the people of Kashmir.

“We salute the Kashmiri people for their courageous battle against the Indian armed forces,” he added.

He further said the council would continue to hold various programmes such as exhibitions, walks and dramas to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
