LAHORE: The 36th National Junior Hockey Championship will be held here at the National Hockey Stadium from Nov 28 to Dec 8.

All provincial teams and departmental outfits affiliated with the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) will participate in the championship.

The event will help the PHF spot talent and also widen the base from where a good number of promising players who could be groomed further to represent Pakistan’s senior national team in future.

A committee headed by chief selector Manzoor Hussain Junior has been appointed to check the age of the participating players.

The Manzoor-led committee includes Khawaja Junaid, retired Col Mohammad Asif Naz Khokhar and Syed Asad Abbas.
