PESHAWAR: Three persons were killed over a land dispute at Badhber area here in the wee hours on Monday.

A complainant told Badhber police that two accused allegedly started firing on his family early on Monday, killing his daughter, an aunt and a cousin on the spot.

He said a land dispute led to the killings. He said the killers escaped the scene. Police registered the case and started further investigations.

Meanwhile, a man died and seven others sustained injuries when a passenger coach and a car collided on Monday.

Police said the incident occurred on Peshawar-Kohat Road near Jangali checkpost.

Wrong overtaking was the reason behind the accident, they said, adding rescue workers rushed to the spot and shifted the dead and the injured to hospital.
