LAHORE: Asking for resignation of the elected prime minister is unconstitutional and illegal as no sane person can support such an illogical demand and the march will soon end, says Chief Minister Usman Buzdar in a statement.

The chief minister said the rejected elements were taking revenge on their failures from the people by hindering the journey of progress and development. He said the negative agenda of such elements [who are afraid of change] will remain unsuccessful.

“Those who are doing politics on non issues will face humiliation. Those who wasted the time of the nation and the country would be held answerable for looting national resources during their regimes. For the first time in Pakistan a transparent government is setting new records of public welfare,” he said

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran destiny of progress and prosperity will definitely be achieved. In a democratic system, parliament is the best forum for solving political issues rather than roads. The opposition should express political maturity, he said.

LOCUST SWARMS: The chief minister has taken notice of infestation of locust swarms on the crops in Bahawalpur and Muzaffargarh areas and issued instructions to the agriculture, administration and other concerned departments in this regard.

He directed to take all necessary measures at the earliest to cope with the situation besides utilising all-out resources to protect farmers from damage. Pesticides should immediately be sprayed for the eradication of locust swarms.
