A level students

Published October 22, 2019

WHILE most of my classmates decided to study abroad I decided to pursue my studies in Pakistan as I wanted to study medicine.

I knew that A level students faced more difficulties getting into medical college than students who have passed their intermediate examinations, but only realised what an uphill task it was when I went through the mill.

The highest grade a student can attain in A levels is 90 per cent and I scored 88pc.

My medical college entry test marks were 91pc, while my aggregate marks were 89pc. The lowest acceptable marks in government medical colleges are 91per cent. I request the education ministry authorities to ensure A level students are also accommodated in government medical colleges,
