I WAS recently talking to an Arab student in China and came to know that whenever Saudi Crown Prince Muhammed bin Salman visits China, he gathers Saudi students from the nearest cities and greet them.

He asks them about their problems and takes students into confidence about Saudi Arabia’s various decisions and later provides them money too. The media is not allowed to cover such meetings so that students can talk openly.

I have almost spent one and half years in China as a student and none of the Pakistan leader has ever interacted with us during their visit. We do not expect them to distribute money, but we expect them to listen to us so that we know about what is happening in Pakistan
