OKARA, Aug 5: Cantonment police on Friday registered a case against Anjuman Mazareen Punjab secretary-general, his 10 nominated and four unidentified accomplices for killing a man and injuring two people in an armed clash on Thursday.

The case was registered against AMP secretary-general Mehr Abdul Sattar, media adviser Noor Nabi, Shahbaz, Eid Muhammad alias Edoo alias Falaksher, Majid Abdul Rashid alias Kaka and others on the report of deceased Afzal’s brother, Mushtaq.

Police also arrested four of them, including proclaimed offender Eid Muhammad. He was wanted by Okara police in a number of cases of murder and highway robbery. The injured, Eid Muhammad, was admitted to the local DHQ Hospital where police force was deployed on his guard duty. Police also claimed to have recovered four illicit weapons from the arrested accused.

Meanwhile, nominated accused Mehr Abdul Sattar said that he and AMP media adviser Noor Nabi were implicated in the murder case on political grounds.
