RAWALPINDI: A man who killed his wife and injured her brother over a domestic dispute in Chauntra on Friday was arrested by the police along with his accomplice.

According to the police, the suspect had a quarrel with his wife. On the day of the incident, he and his accomplice came on a vehicle and shot his wife dead.

On receiving information, City Police Officer Deputy Inspector General of Police Mohammad Faisal Rana directed SP Saddar Rai Mazhar Iqbal to immediately arrest the suspects. The police intercepted their car after a brief chase and arrested both the suspects.

The suspect had also shot and injured his brother-in-law before killing his wife.

The CPO directed the relevant officials to complete legal procedure and submit a challan with evidence so that they could be awarded exemplary punishment.
