MARDAN: Police on Saturday claimed to have found body of a 12-year-old boy in agricultural fields in Lundkhwar village here.

The officials of Lundkhwar police station quoted Muhibullah, father of the victim, as saying that his son had been missing for last two days.

However, locals spotted the body of a 12-year-old boy lying in the agricultural fields in Juwar locality and informed the police, who reached the spot and took the body into their custody.

The body was later identified as that of Farhan, son of Muhibullah.

The police registered an FIR on the complaint of the victim’s father, who nominated Sohail and an unknown accomplice as alleged killers of his son.

The police have begun further investigations into the case to ascertain real cause of the murder and arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
