ISLAMABAD: Ushna Suhail and Sarah Mehboob qualified for the Eighteen National Ladies Tennis Championship final here at the S. Dilawar Abbas PTF Complex on Saturday.

The 26-year-old Ushna defeated Sara Mansoor in a seesaw ladies singles semi-final. After bagging the first set 6-4, Ushna looked off colour in the second set which Sara Mansoor won 6-2. Ushna however came back strongly to seize the decisive third set and with it the match.

Sarah, 28, outclassed Meheq Khokhar 6-1, 6-1 in their semi-final.

The ladies doubles semi-finals were played late Friday due to rain.

Ushna pairing with Sara Mansoor also qualified for the ladies doubles final after beating the Esha Jawad-Noor Malik duo. In the second doubles semi-final, Sarah Mehboob and Meheq Khokhar defeated the pair of Shimza Naz and Khunsha Babar.

The ladies doubles final was in progress at the time of filing of this story.

Shimza clinched the girls-18 & under title as she recorded an easy 6-2, 6-0 victory against Zahra Suleman.

The girls-14 & under title went to Shiza Sajid who overcame Amna Ali Qayum 0-4, 4-2, 4-1 in the decider.

Hania Minhas clinched the girls U-10 title beating Zunaisha Noor 4-1, 4-0.

Hania will also be looking to win the girls-12 & under title when she plays its final against Amna Ali.

Girls-12 & under (semi-finals): Hania Minhas bt Farah Shah Khan 4-1, 4-0; Amna Ali Qayum bt Aleena Suleman 4-0, 4-0

Girls U-10 (final): Hania Minhas bt Zunaisha Noor 4-1, 4-0

Ladies doubles (semi-finals): Sarah Mehboob/Meheq Khokhar bt Shimza Naz/Khunsha Babar 6-3, 6-4; Ushna Suhail/ Sara Mansoor bt Esha Jawad/Noor Malik 6-0, 6-1
