Qatar still exploiting migrants: Amnesty

PARIS: Qatar is not fulfilling all its promises to improve the conditions of migrant workers in the country in the run-up to the 2022 World Cup, Amnesty International said on Thursday.
In a report titled All Work, No Pay, the rights group said: “Despite the significant promises of reform which Qatar has made ahead of the 2022 World Cup, it remains a playground for unscrupulous employers.”
Doha has made efforts since being named World Cup hosts to improve the conditions of the migrant workers who make up a majority of the emirate’s population.

In fact all the gulf and badly exploited poor migrant workers who came to earn their living in these countries. Sooner or later these countries have to.improve human rights otherwise they will feel find difficulties to find workers/slaves to work for them.

And the largest numbers of migrant workers are from India & Pakistan. These workers live in shabby places together, they are hired by notorious groups, who kept their passports, they deal with project management at high figures, and pay less to workers. Though a oil rich kingdom, The portray of rule is similiar to autocrats, hence a need is there to implement hourly wages system, medical care, proper shelters.
