KARACHI: Federal Minister for Education, National History and Literary Heritage Shafqat Mehmood has announced a master plan for the renovation and decoration of National Museum Karachi. He said this while chairing a meeting of the Citizens Advisory Committee here at National Museum on Thursday, says a press release.

The minister said that the National Museum is a great asset of the country; it will be decorated with digital and 3D systems according to modern methods. The renovation plan will be completed in phases, it was stated.

The minister directed the management and committee members to renovate the museum with displays and give it an attractive look before Dec 25 this year. 

“Funds will be provided, vacant posts will be filled but look of the museum should be colourful and charming”, the minister directed.

The management of the muse­um informed that entrance road will be opened soon; modern and 3D technology will be used for the displays and cultural activities.
