ISLAMABAD: The National Junior Squash Championships will kick-start at the Mushaf Squash Complex on Friday.

The boys’ U-13 and U-15 event would be played from September 13-17 while the boys’ U-17, U-19 and girls’ U-19 event will run from September 19-23, the Pakistan Squash Federation said in a statement.

Each event will feature 32 players with the winners to be awarded Rs 100,000 for each age group.

The event has also been registered with the Professional Squash Association and will help players associated with the sport’s global body improve their junior world ranking.

“PSF has received very healthy entries from all over the country for participation in various age categories. This would equally help PSF in selecting a back up squad for future training and participation in upcoming international junior squash events around the world,” the statement said.
