Pakistan successfully tests night launch of surface to surface ballistic missile Ghaznavi: ISPR

Pakistan has successfully carried out the night training launch of Ghaznavi, a surface to surface ballistic missile, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said on Thursday.
The missile "is capable of delivering multiple types of warheads up to 290 kilometres", said Maj Gen Ghafoor via a tweet, which also included a video of the launch.
According to DG ISPR, the president and prime minister "conveyed appreciation to the team and congratulations to the nation" for the successful testing of the missile.
Earlier in May, Pakistan conducted a successful training launch of Shaheen-II, a surface-to-surface ballistic missile.
In January, Pakistan witnesses another successful launch of the tactical ballistic missile Nasr as part of the Army Strategic Forces Command training exercise.
The missile is capable of defeating — by assured penetration — "any currently available BMD [Ballistic Missile Defence] system in our neighbourhood or any other system under procurement [or] development", the military's media wing had said.

As a pakistani, i am not amused by this kind of reaction from Pakistan. In my opinion, Imran Khan should not detract from the economic development promise that he came with. He is getting sucked into this kashmir issue. Kashmir issue is an important issue but there are only two options to get it resolved.
1. Economically become stronger. This has to be done without jolting the opposition too much even if they are wrong. That's the fundamental of diplomacy at this stage
2. Get into a full fledged war with India. Either decide to get perished or earn your kill.
what Pakistan is doing is they are running in the middle of these two lines and that's why they are facing criticism.

Not sure what testing at night would achieve extra. Are these missiles fitted with night-vision camera or night-vision binoculars now? Never knew missiles need those.onboard computer decides using input coordinates decides the target. And this target can be hit day or night. Similarly, BMD does not use human eye or night-vision camera to look for incoming missiles. Someone, please enlighten me.

@Raja , in the day time, much more can be seen from satellites, reconnaissance crafts or drones (even though they have night vision cameras as well). what I think is that they have tried to make sure that they could camouflage their movement of the batteries taking note of all these aspects and not getting detected until the missile is fuelled and launched. it could also mean that all of them would have been wearing night time goggles, the instrumentation panels would be in night mode and so many other things which are just common sense considerations. What about movement of nuclear warheads? they could emit so strong a radiation signature that it can be picked up by the US and Russians? maybe by Sats or something else.
