TAXILA: Six people, including a woman, were killed in separate incidents in Attock and Taxila on Sunday.

Police said Irshad Bibi, 50, committed suicide by jumping into Shahbaz Dam in Pindigheb. Rescue 1122 retrieved the body.

The body of a 55-year-old man was recovered from River Haro in the limits of Hassanabdal police.

The deceased could not be identified till filing of this report.

A drug addict died after consuming spirit in Meharabad locality in the limits of Hassanabdal police. Police and hospital sources said Mohammad Aftab, 30, had consumed rectified spirit with locally made liquor. His family brought him to hospital where he died.

The body of a 16-year-old boywas recovered in Burhan area of Hassanabdal police.

Station House Officer (SHO) Mohammad Farooq said the boy was strangled to death. He said the deceased was identified as Abul Rafay, a resident of Gulistan Colony in Wah Cantonment. His father had lodged a report about the disappearance of his son on Friday.

A farmer died after his tractor overturned in Pind Fazal Khan in the limits of Hassanabdal police.

In Taxila, a man committed suicide by throwing himself in front of Peshawar-bound Rehman Baba Express. Police said Azmat Aziz, 25, was a labourer.
