KARACHI: A dazzling unbeaten century from Vinod Ramesh propelled SHC Greens to a crushing 88-run victory over Karachi Bar CLC in the opening fixture of the Sindh High Court Independence Day Cup Colour-kit T20 Cricket Tournament here on Sunday.

Put into bat at the UBL Sports Complex, SHC Greens rode on Ramesh’s 62-ball 102 (11 boundaries and two sixes) to rattle up 194-5 in the stipulated 20 overs.

Karachi Bar CLC, in reply, were dismissed for 106 in 15.1 overs despite a first-wicket stand of 45 between Aamir Ahmed (36) and Kaleemullah (33).

Paceman Adnan Sagheer and off-spinner Ali Naqi grabbed three wickets each.

In the day’s other match, former first-class cricketer Suleman Huda struck an undefeated 52 (40 balls, six fours) to help sealed a comprehensive eight-wicket win after slow left-armer Shaharyar Tanvir had claimed 4-27 as Thunder Wolves mustered 138-9.
