KARACHI: The K-Electric has extended deadline for payment of electricity bills due to rain and Eid holidays in order to help customers pay their bills without late payment surcharge.

A spokesperson for the power utility said that the extended deadline was applicable on bills with due dates falling between Aug 19 and Aug 22, both days included. “These bills can now be paid latest by the new date of Aug 23.”

He said that all banks had been informed to accept bill payments without any late payment surcharge.

In case of any issue at the time of utility bill payment consumers can register their complaints by calling 118, the spokesperson added.
