KOHAT: The Water Supply and Sanitation Company, Kohat, successfully completed its Eid operation by lifting about 2,550 tons of entrails of sacrificial animals from six urban areas and KDA Town late on Wednesday.

WSSC manager operations, Naeem Khan, told this correspondent that in all 65 vehicles of different kinds took part in the operation which was conducted by more than 470 staff members. He said that the work was inaugurated by adviser to the chief minister, MPA Ziaullah Bangash.

He said that Suzuki vans, tractor trolleys, compactors, scrap tractors, shovels and excavator took part in the operation.

Naeem Khan said that in all 260 collection points had been specified and the people were told ahead of Eid to put the guts there. He thanked the people for their cooperation.

He recalled that they had demanded funds from the government because the shortage of vehicles could have hampered the Eid operation. However, the task was successfully completed within the limited resources.
