MULTAN: Veteran politician Javed Hashmi says the outcome of the no-confidence vote against Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani is another stigma attached to the chequered political history of the country.

Talking to media here on Friday, the senior politician claimed the Senate chairman was ready to withdraw but he was asked to stay. He said the manner in which the outcome was manipulated was shocking and raised serious questions over the entire present set-up.

The veteran politician said he was getting death threats that he would be killed in an incident. “I do have evidence to prove my claim. I will speak whenever the country is in trouble no matter what the outcome is.”

Mr Hashmi advised the opposition to let Prime Minister Imran Khan complete his tenure, but hastened to add that the PTI government would fall early due to its follies.
