LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment on Sunday demolished boundary wall of PML-N MNA Javed Latif’s paper mills, alleging it was built on state land.

According to the ACE, the action was taken after a team headed by Lahore (B) Regional Director Syed Sajid Hussain Termizi investigated a complaint lodged by the Punjab Cooperative Board for Liquidation against land grabbers and found that PML-N MNA Javed Latif, was “illegal occupant of the board land” where he set up Mian Latif Paper and Board Mills.

After a thorough investigation, ACE Director General Syed Ejaz Shah ordered strict action against squatters to recover the government land measuring 30 kanals and 15 marla worth around Rs125 million.

On the directions of Regional Director Mr Termizi, ACE Deputy Director (Investigation), Sheikhupura, along with revenue staff of the district administration and police recovered the land by demolishing the boundary walls of the paper mills and handed it over to the officers of the Punjab Cooperation Board for Liquidation, Punjab.
