TAXILA: Six people died in various incidents in parts of Wah and Attock on Sunday.

According to details, three friends were killed when a speeding dumper collided with their car on G.T. Road near Wah Model Town.

The dead were identified as Ammar Hassan, 28, Waqar Ahmed, 32, and Bilal Ahmed, 29. Wah Saddar police SHO Malik Sajid Mehmood told mediapersons that they had started search for the dumper driver who fled the scene after the accident.

Rescue 1122 in-charge Touqeer Kazim told this scribe that two bodies trapped in the wreckage of the car were retrieved after cutting the vehicle’s body.

In another accident, one person was killed and another suffered injuries when a dumper hit a motorcycle on G.T. Road in the limits of Wah Saddar police station. The deceased was identified as Javaid Ahmed while his friend Adnan Khan was injured. The dumper driver managed to escape.

Moreover, Shahid Mehmood, 29, was killed when his pistol went off accidentally during cleaning and he received a bullet shot at his house in Nikka Ghulam Shah village of Pindigheb. He was taken to Holy Family Hospital where he succumbed to wounds.

Separately, Zulfiqar Ali, 49, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a tree in his fields in Kallan village in Bhattar police station limits.

Quoting family members of the deceased, the police said that the farmer was worried about the financial position of his family. Police registered the cases and have started investigations.
