TAXILA: Five people were killed in separate incidents in district Attock on Saturday.

In the first incident, a woman and her 15-month-old daughter were killed and her husband was injured when a dumper hit their motorcycle on G.T. Road near Hassanabdal Cadet College.

Police and hospital sources said the family was going to Wah from Kamra when the accident occurred. In the absence of ambulance at THQ hospital, both the victims’ bodies remained on G.T. Road for about an hour. However, some passersby shifted the body of the injured to the hospital.

In the second incident, the brother of a local PTI leader was shot dead in Islampura.

Hassanabdal police said Rashid Khan was on his way home when he was shot dead by two persons.

Hassanabdal police SHO Hamid Kazmi said the reason behind the murder could not be ascertained.

Separately, the body of a 15-year-old boy, who went missing on Tuesday, was found floating in a mini dam in Jand police station limits on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a man killed himself in Jang village in Bhattar police station area. Quoting family members, the police said Haider Zeeshan was in distress due to unemployment. On Saturday, he locked himself in a room and shot himself.
