CM opens work on seven projects in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar visited the city along with Governor Mohammad Sarwar on Wednesday and announced 500 development projects worth Rs 151 billion in Faisalabad division.

“On the direction of the prime minister, Mr Buzdar has started visiting divisional headquarters in the province. During the first leg of his visit, he laid the foundation stone of seven mega-projects worth Rs21 million for Faisalabad,” says an official handout

The projects include eastern wastewater treatment plant which would be completed in three years at a cost of Rs 19.33 billion, dualisation of a link road from Khurianwala to Sahianwala interchange, new sewerage system, construction of a trauma center and upgrade of the Dijkot rural health center to the level of THQ hospital, upgrade of operation theatres of the Allied Hospital’s emergency, construction of the regional training institute of Population Welfare Department, provision of latest equipment to the Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology.

Local parliamentarians also met the CM and the Governor and apprised them of the local issues.
