LAHORE: The workers’ representatives observed a protest day on Monday to demand the government take steps to stop rising accidents and occupational deaths of workers in various sectors in general and coal mines in Balochistan in particular.

They gathered in a meeting under the aegis of the All Pakistan Workers Confederation which was addressed by the secretary general of the confederation, Khurshid Ahmed, president Rubeena Jamil and other representatives of the workers.
