ISLAMABAD: A pedestrian was killed in a road accident, while cash and valuables were stolen in two other incidents on Saturday, police said.

They said that an unidentified vehicle hit Saleem Khan on G.T. Road when he was there for some work.

He was taken to the nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The police registered a case and have started investigation to trace the driver.

Meanwhile, three motorcycle riders snatched a motorcycle and cash from Jehanzaib in Ghauri Town, Phase-VII.

Police said that Jehanzaib was also on a motorcycle and when he reached Phase-VII three people intercepted him and deprived him of Rs73,000 cash, a mobile phone and motorcycle and then escaped.

In another incident, some thieves looted cash and valuables from a house in Bhara Kahu.

The local police stated that a resident told them that unidentified thieves stole cash, gold ornaments and electronic equipment worth Rs200,000 from his house.
