THE PTI came to power by making tall claims during the election campaign. Disappointed by the previous governments, the public saw a glimpse of a great leader in Imran Khan and had hopes in him.

They believed only he had the credentials to pull the country out of the quagmire.

However, we find nothing except more misery for the people owing to the unprecedented inflation and a fragile economy. The economic growth of more than five per cent during PML-N government has shrunk to less than three per cent. We now face huge foreign and circular debts, while foreign reserves have been at the lowest in the recent history.

Rising inflation has made a square meal a distant dream for the poor.

If immediate measures are not taken, the situation may lead to anarchy.
