PESHAWAR: China is easing Pakistan’s challenges on all fronts including diplomatic, energy and foreign exchange reserves as both the countries are intertwined as ‘iron brothers’, says Bao Zhang, the director general of press and media at Chinese embassy, Islamabad.

She said this while visiting Chinese Study Centre at University of Peshawar on Wednesday. She showed satisfaction over completion of 11 projects under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor within five years and hoped that remaining 11 schemes would be completed soon.

Ms Bao said that relations between Pakistan and China were stronger after the historic visit of Chinese premier to Pakistan in 2015. She expected that University of Peshawar would come up with literature for Chinese investors to inform them about business regulations and decision making bodies in Pakistan.

She pointed out that Chinese tourists were looking upon Pakistan as a tourism destiny but they needed information about the local food, hotels and values of Islamic culture that was not given to them. She welcomed academia to involve the Chinese embassy’s cultural, commercial and political bureaus in their joint ventures.
