RAWALPINDI: The National Highways and Motorway Police with the assistance of Special Branch Rawalpindi on Tuesday recovered a teenage boy who was kidnapped from his G-11/1 house on Sunday night.

Malik Abdullah, 10, son of Malik Ibrar, the president of All Pakistan Private Schools Association, in an FIR registered with Ramna police alleged that his son had been kidnapped by his driver, Mohammad Kamran.

After reporting the matter to the police, the complainant sought help from the Special Branch Rawalpindi. With technical surveillance, the Special Branch located the kidnapper and the boy near a four-star hotel on the Mall Rawalpindi.

It later transpired that the alleged kidnapper had taken the boy to a hotel at 7pm on June 23 and checked out at 11pm.

On June 24, the kidnapper was traced at a hotel in Pirwadhai. Apparently suspicious of being caught, the alleged kidnapper left the hotel at around 9pm and boarded a Karachi-bound bus along with the boy.

The information was passed on to the family of the boy by the Special Branch who contacted the motorway police. The motorway police recovered the child at Moro checkpost in Jamshoro, Sindh, and apprehended the kidnapper.

A police team from Islamabad along with the boy family left for Jamshoro to bring back the child.
