QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani said on Thursday that his government would launch development schemes in all areas of the province from funds allocated under the next financial year’s Public Sector Development Programme as his coalition government believed in equal development and progress of all areas of the province.

Talking to newsmen, he said his government would take special measures to enhance provincial revenues to cover the gap of Rs47.70 billion between receipts and expenditures.

He said the budget had been finalised with consensus of all stakeholders.

“Education, health and law and order have been given top priority in the new budget and Rs100 billion has been allocated for development schemes,” Mr Alyani said. “We are trying our best to provide maximum relief to the masses of the province,” the chief minister said.
