KARACHI: The former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi has no doubt that the recently announced accountability drive by the PCB has been done with an aim target him.

Talking to this correspondent on Thursday, the former PCB chairman said the cricket committee heading the drive should be taken to task for its malacious designs. “Why three years of accountability only and why not four, five years or more,” asked Sethi.

“The act only aims at shifting the blame on the past regime. What have they (Mani-led PCB) done since the time they took over? he questioned.

It may be mentioned here that that Pakistan Cricket Board, on Wednesday, announced to hold a “robust” inquiry into the appointments and measures in the last three years to identify causes of Pakistan’s below par performance in the World Cup.

Meanwhile, the head of Cricket Committee, Mohsin Khan resigned from the post and PCB’s managing director Wasim Khan has been handed the reigns of the cricket committee which will recommend future course of action.

Without naming anyone, Sethi also claimed that new inductees in the PCB management have no clue about Pakistan cricket culture and its domestic structure. “The cricket committee should be held accountable,” demanded Sethi.
