ABBOTTABAD: Authorities have accorded approval to carry out feasibility study for construction of a road to link Abbottabad city with the Hazara Motorway.

The approval was made during a meeting here the other day attended by the officials of NHA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority, communication and works, revenue department and chairman of Dispute Resolution Committee, Lt-Gen retired Ayaz Saleem Rana and Chinese officials.

The meeting discussed a link road which would comprise of a bridge on a natural watercourse that would not cause major destruction and disturbance to the local population and would prove cost-effective.

On the occasion, commissioner Hazara Zaheerul Islam said that the scheme would be got approved from the provincial government and would be added to the current year budget.
